Company Profile
Samuji is a rapidly growing fashion and design company - founded in Helsinki in November 2009.
Our work focuses on design and consulting, and is based on the values we hold dear in everyday life: a love of necessary things, simple functionality, and kindness. Our ambition is to produce timeless and sustainable design that serves a purpose yet carries a story.
The first Samuji womenswear collection was launched in 2011 and menswear was introduced in 2013. All items are crafted out of quality materials from European and Japanese suppliers and produced in Europe by carefully selected factories. The lines are sold in our own stores in Helsinki and through a rapidly growing network of carefully selected stockists (some 60 currently) across four continents and sixteen countries.
Samuji is led by highly experienced professionals: Creative Director Samu-Jussi Koski (formerly the Creative Director at Marimekko) and CEO and investor Frank Svenfelt ( over 15 years experience in international investment banking and private equity) supported by a close-knit team focused on systematically and forcefully building a strong and sustainable lifestyle brand. Samuji is majority owned by management and employees and backed by a group of Finnish and international private investors.
