Tüpokompanii

Tüpokompanii is a type design studio based in Tallinn, founded in 2022 by Andree Paat and Aimur Takk.

In addition to our retail typefaces we offer typographic consulting and custom solutions from logos and pictograms to bespoke typefaces for clients. We also teach type design at the Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA).

Andree Paat graduated the Graphic Design department of EKA (EKAGD) in 2016, after which he went on to do an internship at Commercial Type in New York in 2017. Since 2018 he has collaborated on various typeface projects with Dinamo in Berlin, and also operates under the moniker Kirjatehnika. Andree is a visiting teacher at EKAGD since 2018.

Aimur Takk is a freelance designer working across disciplines, focusing mainly on typefaces and visual identities. He graduated EKAGD in 2016 and has studied type design at HfG Offenbach (2015–2016) and ÉCAL (2018–2020). Aimur has created custom typefaces for ERKI Fashion Show (2017), IDA Radio, and Tallinn Music Week. He is a visiting teacher at EKAGD since 2017 and one of the initiators of ??? Summer School in Estonia.
